SkyCast Bets — Effective March 31, 2026

1. Information We Collect

Account Information:

• Anonymous accounts: A unique Firebase Authentication ID is generated automatically. No personal information is required to use the app.
• Google Sign-In (optional): If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your display name, email address, and profile photo URL from Google.
• Apple Sign-In (optional, iOS only): If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive the information you choose to share (name, email, or a private relay email).

Usage Data:

• Betting history (weather predictions, stakes, outcomes, scores)
• Virtual coin balance and transaction history
• Selected city preference and display settings (Celsius/Fahrenheit)
• Leaderboard ranking and win/loss record

Purchase Data:

• If you make in-app purchases (virtual coin packs), the transaction is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store payment information such as credit card numbers. We receive a purchase confirmation to credit coins to your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide core app functionality (weather forecasts, bet placement, scoring, leaderboards)
• Maintain your account, coin balance, and betting history
• Display your rank on the global leaderboard
• Process in-app purchases and credit virtual coins
• Improve app performance and fix bugs

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Services

SkyCast Bets uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database (Firestore), and cloud functions. Firebase Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Cloud (Firebase) infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information, including:

• Firebase Security Rules that restrict data access (users can only read/write their own data)
• Server-side coin management to prevent tampering
• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your data within 30 days.

If you use anonymous authentication and uninstall the app, your anonymous account data may be automatically cleaned up by Firebase after a period of inactivity.

6. Children's Privacy

SkyCast Bets is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Note: SkyCast Bets uses virtual coins only — no real money is wagered or won. The app is a weather prediction game, not a gambling service.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
